Hi there! We, Jack's family, have started a scholarship to honor and celebrate Jack Stein, who graduated from the U of MN in 2020. This endowment will provide a scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in Economics, every year in perpetuity, helping a student in need. Each year, we want to make the difference to a student that is struggling, so they can focus on learning. (Jack would love this!)

After a mental health crisis in the spring of 2021, he went missing.  Jack loved the University of Minnesota and was deeply proud of graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics.  It's our goal to raise as much as we can for this incredible cause and we're asking for your help.

Before Jack went missing on July 13th, 2021, he was working as a broker at Securian Financial in St. Paul, Minnesota — where he was born and raised.  While in college, he spent a summer interning at Gartner in Fort Myers, Florida. Another summer was spent teaching surfing lessons at the Malibu Surf Shack in California.

A talented artist, Jack liked to spend his time drawing and taking photographs, often inspired by graffiti and cityscapes. Jack was an incredible surfer, snowboarder, and skateboarder; he excelled at any activity that involved balance, grace and speed.

Jack’s family and friends miss and love him dearly.  Our goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000 endowment, which will support a scholarship for an economics student, for all time. We ask for your support in reaching this goal to continue Jack's legacy. Will you join with us by making a tax-deductible donation?   It’s fast and easy to do, and many will benefit from your generosity. (Many employers will match gifts, you may want to check with yours.)

Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference.
