2022 Class Gift

The 2022 Minnesota Law Class Gift Campaign is our opportunity to pay it forward and ensure that future generations of students will have their own life-changing experiences and contribute to improving others’ lives at Minnesota Law. This year, we are supporting the Law School Scholarships fund, providing important financial aid to future students and helping to make the pursuit of a law degree more accessible.

Your donation to our 2022 Class Gift Campaign provides future students the opportunity to attend Minnesota Law. More importantly, your gift is a demonstration of our commitment as a class to advance accessibility to the law profession to anyone who dreams of becoming a lawyer and easing the burden of tuition.

We plan to make this the Law School’s most successful (and fun!) class gift campaign to date. Here's how you can join in:

• Compete as a section! While our goal is to get 100% participation, we’ll be competing to see which section can get the highest participation rate! 
• Fill the box! During tabling hours in the coming weeks you will see the graduation box in the sub-plaza to help track total and section participation. Stop by daily during the lunch hour to learn more!
• Match your gift! As an even greater motivation, the Alumni and Student Engagement Committee and Board of Advisors Development Committee will donate a $12,000 matching gift: We will receive 50% of the gift once 58 students make a donation and the remaining 50% once 81 of our peers donate! Let’s join together in this effort, surpass the class of 2021’s participation rate of 35%, and make history of the Graduating Class Gift!
• Show off! This year, anyone who contributes to our class gift by April 1 will be listed on the 2022 Class Gift page in the printed program distributed at commencement. All contributions made by June 30 will be recognized in the Law School’s fall edition of Minnesota Law.
• Access the alumni network! All 2022 grads who give a gift of $60 or more will gain a one-year membership to the Law School’s Lockhart GOLD Club (Learn more here). Benefits include rubbing elbows with some of the school’s most fun and influential alumni at an annual dinner in the fall.
• Choose what’s most meaningful to you! While we are promoting support for scholarships, a gift made to any area of the Law School—including donations to Mondale Kitchen, law clinics, TORT, and others—counts towards our class gift and contributes to your eligibility for the Lockhart Club! We have benefited from the donations of prior students and current alumni; their generosity shaped our own Minnesota Law experience. Now is our chance to pay it forward. Every gift, no matter the amount, helps towards our goal of 100% participation and makes a difference for the next generation of Minnesota Law students. We hope you will join us.
