Your gift allows us to purchase the tools and materials needed to construct our engineering designs and supplement travel funds so we can succeed in our work. Minnesota Water Research Fund
The Minnesota Water Research Fund provides research support for University of Minnesota faculty and students working in water resources management and water treatment. Even as the research conducted solves current and emerging water quality problems, the Minnesota Water Research Fund also helps train students – the engineers and scientists for tomorrow’s water management and treatment industries. Research advances generated in the laboratory with the help of funding from the Minnesota Water Research Fund could help guide critical water infrastructure decisions and investments across the state of Minnesota, particularly in those small communities where funds for water research, training, and education are scarce.

Code the Gap
This Give to the Max Day, please consider supporting Code the Gap as they inspire a love of coding and problem solving in students who might otherwise feel shut out of a career in computer science or under-exposed to tech and STEM fields. Your gift to Code the Gap today will help cover the costs of the organization’s increased programming, including transportation fees to bring students to campus, the purchase and upkeep of hardware and classroom materials like Chromebooks and robotics kits, and costs associated with bringing speakers to campus and hosting other coding education events.

The new Kirk Froggatt Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship will permanently honor’s Kirk’s legacy by supporting TLI students with a passion for fostering diversity, inclusion, and equity in technology management and innovation.
Physics Force
The Physics Force brings excitement and wonder to thousands of K-12 students every year. We go above and beyond, conducting bombastic experiments on a grand scale, to kindle a love of science in young people. With the money we raise on Give to the Max Day, we can fund transportation grants to offset the costs to schools of bussing students to Physics Force events. We will also purchase the equipment we need to record and livestream our events, so students who can’t attend in person can still enjoy the wonders of science from their homes or classrooms. With your help, we can ensure that regardless of location, everyone can experience the thrill of the Physics Force!
Earth and Environmental Sciences
Funds raised will go towards relieving our students taking “Standards and Practices for Professional Geoscientists” of a large burden, allowing them to complete vital training and exams without additional cost.
Solar Vehicle Project
This Give To The Max Day, we are asking for your help in funding materials for our 15th solar car, G1, and supplies for our next race, the 2022 American Solar Challenge. Join us in our mission today and our members can continue the work that began with Aurora I- spending all nighters building the car and sitting in long meetings talking through design challenges. Your donations directly support giving our members the opportunity to build and race our next solar car as well as educating and promoting renewable energy in our community.

This fund provides support for visiting lecturers in the Department of Chemistry whose background and experiences help to promote diversity and inclusion while highlighting and celebrating the broad fields of research within the chemistry discipline.
