At present we have a $10,000 Challenge Grant so all contributions will be doubled until the end of the year. Please consider making a contribution to support the 2024 and 2025 grant years. All contributions will be greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.

The Professional Development Grants for Retirees (PDGR) program makes grants available to University of Minnesota retirees for professional development and research. All University of Minnesota retirees from the five campuses in the University of Minnesota System may apply for the grants.

The program was launched by the University of Minnesota Retirees Association (UMRA) in 2009 and has been very successful. Since 2009, PDGR grants have been made to more than 100 retirees from across nearly all colleges and campuses of the University. The grants have covered topics such as art, statistics, social equity, science and medicine. At least nine books, 48 journal articles and an untold number of public and professional publications have resulted. Financial support for the program is primarily provided by donations to the PDGR fund from UMRA members. At present we have a $10,000 Challenge Grant so all contributions will be doubled. Please consider making a contribution to support the 2024 grant year. All contributions will be greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.

It's my goal to raise as much as I can for this incredible cause and I’m asking for your help. Will you join with me by making a tax-deductible donation? It’s fast and easy to do, and many will benefit from your generosity.

Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference.
