Bulldog Racing is the University of Minnesota Duluth's chapter of Formula SAE. Our team is 100% student-led and funded by industry sponsors. Every year students design, build, test, and race a formula style race car. Bulldog Racing team members gain unique engineering and leadership experience, which is applicable across multiple engineering disciplines. Bulldog Racing is more than just a student-led team; it’s the proving grounds for the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders. Here, students aren’t just learning—they’re doing. With every weld, every design, and every test run, our team members gain hands-on experience in engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork that goes beyond the classroom. The mission is to cultivate a space where technical knowledge meets real-world application, equipping our members with the skills and resilience needed to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
