Fishing Faceoff: Clash on the Cedar against Cancer

Cedar River Watershed District wants to support the annual "Paint the Town Pink" initiative to support cutting-edge breast cancer research at The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota in Austin.

As part of this effort, CRWD's James Fett and Paul Hunter -- both fishing enthusiasts -- will try to outfish each other as part of a Fishing Faceoff: Clash on the Cedar against Cancer.

Two anglers allowed to use two rods each on 2/22 at two sites to hopefully raise at least $222 for breast cancer research (UPDATE: this goal was quickly surpassed as was a $1,000 goal so ... we're going even bigger with a $2,000 goal!). They will be limited to ice fishing on the Cedar River at Austin Mill Pond and Ramsey Mill Pond for six hours.

Will you join in the fun and the great cause by making a tax-deductible donation? It’s fast and easy to do, and 100% of each donation will go directly toward breast cancer research at The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota.

Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference.
