A Very Specialist Holiday began when former Gopher punter & holder, Peter Mortell, used his bowl game gift-card to purchase toys for patients at St. Joseph's Home for Children. Further, Pete carried the torch the following year by partnering with the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital to supply presents for every child in the hospital during the holiday season. As we enter the 5th season of A Very Specialist Holiday, we are enthralled by the overwhelming support of what it means to Serve and Give as a University of Minnesota student-athlete.
This Holiday season, we wish to continue the tradition and help ensure an ELITE holiday experience for as many children and families as possible. As such, we hope Gopher fans and many others across Minnesota and the Nation will consider joining our mission in any way, shape, or form to support patients and family programming services at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. We understand that this year has been very difficult with the circumstances for many, however, anything will help! All past, current, and future Gopher Specialists thank you for helping us continue our partnership with the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital!
