Help Build a Climate Literate Society
The Center for Climate Literacy, housed in the College of Education and Human Development, provides resources and support to preK-12 educators in advancing climate literacy education.
The first and only Center of its kind in the world, we understand climate literacy to be far more than climate science—we believe it involves developing ecological values that will inform all decisions young people make in their lives. To do this, we center the power of stories as an agent of values change.
We envision climate literacy education taking place in every classroom, in every content area, at every grade level. To do this, we currently offer:
- Professional development for educators, including teacher fellowships and awards
- Climate Lit, an open-access, peer-reviewed collection of materials for teachers
- Climate Literacy in Education, an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal for educators
- Paid Undergraduate Assistantships for future climate literacy leaders
With your support, we can empower even more educators with the skills and resources they need to help young people flourish in a climate changing world.
