At the University of Minnesota, we take pride in setting high standards for ourselves and providing growth opportunities for our dedicated students. Academics, extracurriculars, and developing valuable connections with faculty and staff are all top priorities for our Animal Science Department, and we aim to help students achieve their goals to thrive on campus.
Because of our dedication to helping Animal Science students succeed in and out of the classroom, we have dedicated our Give to the Max Day Fund for 2024 towards study abroad programs through our Department. This fund creates scholarships and grants for students currently enrolled in Animal Science courses to pursue international learning opportunities. We believe that students should have the opportunity to maximize their college education and experience, and study abroad programs provide a global perspective that helps develop their personal, academic and professional lives.
Previous study abroad opportunities have included a May term exploration in Belize, where students witness the ecosystems and abundant diversity of Belize while working in collaboration with the Belize Wildlife and Referral Clinic. Students also have the opportunity to take their studies international for a semester or year-long program outside of the United States. These experiences truly enrich students’ academic careers and allow them to tap into the Animal Science community across the globe.
We encourage you to consider making a donation for this year’s Give to the Max Day to leave your mark as a proud supporter of the Animal Science Department and the University of Minnesota. Your gift today will help Animal Science students gain a new perspective as CFANS students and position them to make a difference in the world!
