We write to ask your help in ensuring that finances never get in the way of a student who wants to participate in the research in Morocco trip This is a tremendously difficult undergraduate research abroad program. We believe any student who strives to jump the most difficult academic hurdles ought be able to do so, no matter their financial situation.
We have 24 students interested in going to Morocco this summer to conduct independent research projects under the Student Projects for Amity among Nations (SPAN) program. SPANers develop research topics in their own disciplines, do their "field work" in Morocco in the summer (conducting interviews, visiting historical sites, working in libraries, and consulting with people and organizations in Morocco), and, after returning home, write a minimum 50 page research paper. One of the most academically stringent study abroad programs in the world, students who complete SPAN will learn much about the world, their place in it, and will have experiences they will mark as life-changing.
We thank you for your any help you can provide. Any size donation is welcome, even a penny helps.
All money goes directly to our SPAN Morocco students, none to administrative or faculty expenses.
All donations are tax-deductible.
