Asylum Law Project (ALP) is a student-run organization of the University of Minnesota Law School that trains, places and supports law students in volunteer opportunities with political refugees in Minneapolis and other cities across the United States, such as Tucson, El Paso, and Washington D.C. The program not only allows first-year law students to gain valuable legal experience, it also provides legal assistance to large and underserved refugee population.
