The College of Liberal Arts is targeting The Fund for CLA for support of two important initiatives for the 2017 Give to the Max Day: Emergency Tuition Relief and Unpaid Internship Support. Thanks to two CLA alumni donors, we have $16,000 in matching funds that will double the impact of gifts for Give to the Max Day.
Emergency Tuition Relief
There can be as many as 30 students a semester that qualify for Emergency Tuition Aid that end up on a waiting list. These funds are truly helping students that would not be able to stay without additional support. Registration for Spring semester has already begun, so funds donated now could help allow a student to register for spring semester and stay on track for graduation.
Unpaid Internship Support
Internships are often described as one of the most influential experiences for undergraduates. Our goal is to make it easier for CLA students to accept internships, even if they are unpaid. CLA awards over 100 scholarships to students that work in unpaid internships each year. Gifts to last year's Give to the Max Day funded 13 scholarships for unpaid internships last spring.
Please give today and your gift will be matched to double the impact!
