Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria and its medical system and hospitals need supplies very urgently. I was there during the hurricane and volunteered at shelters and know of the great need for insulin, antibiotics, dialysis equipment, and asthma meds as well as general medical supplies. I am part of the "Coalition of Puerto Ricans" in Minnesota and am working with the Medical School to raise funds and supplies.
The Medical School will work with clinical partners in Puerto Rico to provide medications, medical supplies, and other health assistance as needed.
This fund will provide support to the Medical School for aiding the people of Puerto Rico, and will be administered by the Medical School Dean’s Office in consultation with the Department of Neurology.

The teams hand-delivered much-needed medications and basic medical supplies. Your support is making this possible, providing funding for travel expenses, medications, and supplies.
