Toasting the big 5-0, and my 25th year working at the U
I am humbly seeking support for a cause that I support both professionally and personally. The College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota has been my professional home for 5 years and I have been a big advocate for this place since I first set foot on campus as a freshman in 1985.
From life-enriching experiences in the arts and humanities to global impacts of CLA’s social science departments, CLA influences modern society in countless positive ways. I am blessed to see these impacts on a daily basis, both for the community and for our current students.
In addition to celebrating my 50th birthday, this year marks my 25th year working at the University of Minnesota. Job-hopping has never been in my, or my siblings DNA, and speaking for myself, this is a result of discovering early on that I could make a career supporting an institution I care deeply about. Working with so many great students and colleagues over the years has played a big role as well.
While I officially celebrate my birthday on November 8th, this little campaign of mine will be supporting CLA’s general efforts for Minnesota’s Give to the Max Day on Thursday, November 16th.
Your gift before or on that date will support Emergency Tuition Relief and Unpaid Internship Scholarships for CLA students.
Thank you for reading this far, and supporting me through either your financial support, or of equal importance, your friendship and kindness.
