Since my early days in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, I have been so fortunate to have Dr. Wendy Hellerstedt as a colleague and friend. I have learned from her wisdom, felt her compassion, witnessed her strong dedication to our students, and have been inspired by her actions aimed at meeting the needs of our most vulnerable populations. It is hard for me to think of many others who have cared so deeply and acted with such persistence and integrity over the course of their career.
