Center for Ethics and Public Policy (UMD)
Goal $ 6,000.00
0.08% towards our goal
The annual budget for the U of M Duluth Center is $1,800. We seek additional funding to provide more (and larger) panel discussions per calendar year. This money will be used to: (1) pay for facilities; (2) pay for video and microphone services; (3) pay speaker fees; (4) pay for advertising.

Recently the center has had some success with various panel discussions: (1) Minnesota’s Wolf Hunt, (2) Community Perspectives on Violence in America, (3) Copper/Nickel Mining in Minnesota, (4) Medical Marijuana in Minnesota and (5) Minnesota Hunting Ethics.

The goal with each panel is to keep it fair and respectful. The Center routinely examines contentious and troubling issues. The only way this can be done is via fair and respectful exchanges. These are core values to the Center.
