Today, an abundance of health information is available on the internet. Unfortunately, much of this information is unreliable or even harmful, especially in the areas of holistic health and healing. In fact, many health-related websites are funded by drug companies or commercial interests that bring bias to content.

In 2007, the Center recognized the need for credible online information about integrative health and healing, and collaborated with health experts to develop Taking Charge of Your Health & Wellbeing – an ad-free website designed to make health and wellbeing accessible to all. Taking Charge has always provided healthy lifestyle planning tools for you - including goal-setting activities, self-assessments, videos, guided audios, recipes, and evidence-based articles reviewed and developed by health experts. In addition, we offer integrative and conventional strategies for living with a variety of health conditions, including cancer, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes, and chronic pain.

We need your generous support to develop new resources, sustain a rigorous review process, incorporate new experts and content, and keep the site an accessible, ad-free experience. Maintaining our status as a leading, credible source of general information about integrative health and wellbeing for the general public – and health providers – is critical in a world of increasingly misleading and unqualified sources of information.

This past October, eighteen people who believed strongly in advancing wellbeing ran the Twin Cities Marathon as Team Gratitude. With generous contributions from members and people in their networks, the team raised more than $15,000 to support the Taking Charge website. You can keep Team Gratitude's momentum going strong - and help us cross the finish line! - when you Give to the Max. A $5,000 challenge grant from Julie Oswald will match all gifts up to that amount dollar-for-dollar.

Please help the Center ensure that this important resource can continue to be used by millions around the world, particularly in communities where credible, evidence-supported knowledge can be hard to find.

Together, we can make wellbeing accessible for all.
