Retired U of M professors and academic professionals from around the Twin Cities join other enthusiastic teachers willing to share their expertise to over 1200 Twin Cities active older learners. Programs range from "Tuesdays with a Scholar" to "Music and the Brain," and take place in community centers, churches, synagogues and libraries throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
Managed by a staff of four, OLLI relies on a volunteer board, instructors and committee members to provide a top-notch academic experience to learners who may have always wanted to study astronomy, or take a course on Shakespeare, or simply connect with others who share their interests and love of learning after a lifetime career.
OLLI changes lives, introducing new challenges and social interactions to people in retirement.
OLLI relies on membership fees and volunteers to keep the program running.
