As many children spend weeks or months receiving treatments at Masonic Children's Hospital, they are not able to leave for holidays and special occasions -- including birthdays. To ensure every child is able to celebrate their special day, Goldy Gopher, along with University of Minnesota First Lady Karen Kaler, are celebrating his next birthday in a big way!
Goldy's birthday is September 23, but instead of presents from his friends, fellow Minnesota mascots, and U supporters, he’s encouraging others to support a new program at U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital, Goldy’s Birthday Bash Fund. This program will fund birthday celebrations for all patients staying at Masonic Children’s Hospital, as well as a small birthday gift for each child.
"The patients at Masonic Children's Hospital are so special and we want everybody to feel celebrated on their big day," said Mrs. Kaler. "Goldy is thrilled to start the "Goldy's Birthday Bash Fund" and can't wait to bring joy to patients and their families."
Help Goldy and Mrs. Kaler wish patients a very special birthday at Masonic Children’s Hospital by making a gift to support Goldy's Birthday Bash Fund. Row the Boat! Ski-U-Mah!
