Sometimes $500 is the difference between a degree or not.
The CFANS Emergency Student Support Fund provides financial or other assistance to College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Science students who are in danger of withdrawing due to unanticipated, temporary financial hardships resulting from emergency or crisis situations.
Here are a few of the ways we have helped students finish strong:
- CFANS helped defray the cost of a required field-study ensuring graduation requirements were met.
- CFANS paid for a student's bus pass after his car was totaled so she could make it to campus for class.
- CFANS was able to help a student replace a computer after a theft allowing that student to complete his thesis and graduate on-time.
- CFANS helped offset costs of re-enrollment for a student who dropped out due to a family situation just three classes short of earning her degree. With support she was able to return to campus and finish her degree. She is now working full-time and extremely grateful.
Please help us ensure all CFANS students get the support they need to graduate.
The first $10,000 given to the CFANS Emergency Student Support fund on Give to the Max Day will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to the wonderful support of a CFANS alumnus.
